Last diary entry

 

The very last entry in Shirley's diary of 2012, was written on 15th October, the day after she had returned to her home in London from the trip to Israel for her grandaughter's wedding, and the day before she fell ill and was admitted to the Royal Free Hospital in Hampstead, London for emergency surgery.  The only time she put  pen to paper after that was when she signed the consent form at the hospital. She passed away peacefully on the 2nd November, at the hospital, surrounded by her three sons and daughters-in-law.
